After reading some unsatisfactory experiences of the past few weeks I can say - finally a good book. Arno Geiger is a master of observation and a master of language. I was amazed how a 42 years man can put themselves into the psyche of a 50-year OB-wife.
tells the story of Sally and Alfred. It is the story of her marriage, which is not the worst, as in any marriage, it comes after many years, to a certain monotony, which both try to escape in the course.

I especially like the language, the use of Arno Geiger. The book has many wonderful sets of poetry and profound truth, as this one: to

However, it remains a terrific description of a good marriage and what it represents, despite the outbreaks, which have both, but in the end they know why they have decided for each other. A truly significant book.
